Collaboration Launch

Brewed in collaboration with our friends (or buraz!) The Garden Brewery in Croatia. Buraz, East Coast IPA, is launching and pouring for the first time at our Taproom on Friday 22nd March.

Showcasing Sabro, a very new hop into the beer market and as one of the first breweries in London to release a beer using this hop, using primarily Sabro with Citra and Vic Secret hops has resulted in a juicy East Coast IPA with passionfruit and mango flavours with a subtle coconut sweetness.

ALSO launching on Friday 22nd March is the return of our Citrus Sour. First released in April 2018, this beer was so well received and we enjoyed drinking it so much we just had to bring it back! Grapefruits, oranges and lemons create a refreshing and zesty, lightly dry-hopped with Centennial hops which lifts the citrus tang.

Join us for a FREE brewer-led tasting session for both the beers from 6:30 and find a bit more about the beers. Sign up here

Both beers are available in keg and can from the Taproom before they launch for general release on Monday 25th March.

Celebrating IWD

We are celebrating International Women’s Day at the Taproom with a weekend long showcase of beer, art and literature events championing feminism, empowerment and equality. Everyone welcome!

All weekend from Friday 8th March

Mothership is an all-female brewery that champions women in craft beer. Through dedicated craft, hard graft and a love of big flavour, we create innovative (and award-winning) seasonal beer collections with a social conscience. We’ll be pouring their Brut Pale, Hypergalactic IPA and Cardamom & Rose Summer Stout.

Saturday 9th March 2pm – 4pm

The aim of the Make+Change workshops is to generate discussion around feminist issues. The workshops are run for anyone and everyone with hopes to appeal to a diverse group of people. Everyone is invited to sit down and make a badge that promotes equality and challenges the ideas of femininity.  No need to book, drop in and FREE open sessions.

Saturday 9th March 2pm – 4pm

Our current Taproom Exhibition artist, Julia Fraile, is running a collage workshop alongside the badge making workshop. Using materials from The Feminist Library, we’ll explore and generate discussion of feminist issues through the materials to create an A3 collage. Everyone is welcome to bring your own photographs, posters or cut-outs to add a personal touch to your collage. No need to book, drop in and FREE open sessions.

Sunday 10th March 2pm – 4pm

The Feminist Library will be setting up a temporary bookshop in the Taproom, selling books focussed on female authors, histories and literature.

Our newest sours

To celebrate pouring at Craft Beer Rising again this year, we’ve brewed two vermouth cocktail-inspired beers specially for the occasion; Martini Sour and Manhattan Sour.

This is the first in a new additional direction for us in 2019; an added arm of complexity to our continuing fruit sour based series.  Adding twists such as wood ageing and cocktail inspired recipes, we have also moved the artwork on to the next era. Continuing to work with local artists and creatives, this series of beers will follow a Mid-Century Modern influence. After the Art Deco period – and in direct response to it – designers decided that function should dictate form, ditching the flashy designs and embracing stripped down and organic clean lines. The labels will follow this form, continuing to be inspired by the ingredients and background of the beer in the design also.

Manhattan Sour: Brewed with sweet cherry, bitter orange, cinnamon and ginger creates warming flavours made deeper and more complex from ageing on cherry wood.

Martini Sour: White grape, peach and lemon peel provide a delicate contrast to the dry base, with added chamomile, coriander seed and cardamom.

Taste them for the first time before it is released for general sale at the Taproom in keg or can.

Get your tickets here for our brewer-led tutored tasting session to taste both beers, chat to the brewer who made them and find more about the beers’ journey! Ticket includes a welcome pint of Brick Brewery Foundation Range beer (Pils, Pale, Rye or IPA) and tasting quantities of the Martini and Manhattan Sour.

The Taproom is open as usual all weekend to try the beer exclusively too!

If you have tickets for Craft Beer Rising, come and see us on Stand 64 where these beers will be pouring.
