Brick is an independently run brewery that started from humble roots in a Peckham shed. Since 2013 we have been building our brewery; first from a railway arch in Peckham Rye, SE London and last summer we have expanded with an additional production site in Deptford, which means more beer, for more people.  This also means we need more people to join our growing team of passionate individuals to drive the business forward. We are looking for 3 different positions, Warehouse and Brewery Assistant, Senior Sales plus an Office Adminstration and Credit Control Officer

Warehouse and Brewery Assistant

The role of Warehouse and Brewery Assistant will combine responsibilities across warehousing and packaging

Key responsibilities:

  • General warehouse maintenance and cleaningStock rotation
  • Assist on packaging lines – keg, cask and can
  • Packaging and labelling of small and large pack items
  • Liaise with warehouse & sales teams about stock coming off the packaging lines & organising the storage of packaging materials
  • Maintain a high level of Health and Safety at all times
  • Ensure packaging materials are monitored and maintained for beer styles
  • Working with sales and warehouse manager to pick stock for daily deliveries
  • Act as an overspill drayman, delivering product to customers when needed
  • Be a brand ambassador

While the role requires no specific brewery experience the ideal candidate will have/be:

·       Team player
·       Be fit and able to lift 50kg or more
·       A passion for craft beer
·       A desire to innovate and share passion for beer is essential
·       Hold a full driver’s license and be over 25 years of age, for motor vehicle insurance
·       Ability to work on repetitive tasks
·       Experience of manual work
·       Display common sense and attention to detail
·       Legal right to work in the UK

NB Please note that the role will require some heavy lifting, possible shift-work and fork-lift truck training.

Senior Sales
With the increased capacity due to expansion, we are looking for someone to join our ever-growing team as a key player to help drive sales within London, the UK and export.

Key Deliverables:

  • To deliver agreed sales targets in terms of volume & profit
  • To maintain and grow our customer base by building strong relationship putting in place the right activity and ensuring we have the optimum range and visibility
  • Commercial acumen with experience in structuring deals
  • Industry networking
  • To identify national & international growth opportunities & win new business to grow volumes & your outlet base
  • Be able to track, report on and manage performance of your outlets by analysing sales data and reacting to any change in sales accordingly
  • Be fully conversant in all Brick Brewery products, as well as competitor products
  • Training and education of customers and consumers on our products
  •  Identify, plan, manage and participate in events at the brewery taproom and account sites as well as trade shows.  Example events such as meet the brewer and tap takeovers
  •  Be our brand ambassador and deliver our strategic message

Who are we looking for:

·       A senior sales person with a solid book of contacts
·       Ability to build relationships
·       Strong presentation and communications skills
·       Experience selling in the beer trade across the UK and Internationally
·       Experience working with main UK and international distributors
·       A confident, enthusiastic & energetic personality
·       Ability to work independently as part of a team
·       Passionate about beer
·       Highly organised & good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint etc.
·       Legal right to work in the UK

Office Administration and Credit Control Officer

We are looking for a key player to provide general office admin and direct support to the Managing Director as well as perform credit control activities.

Key Deliverables:

  • Provide administrative and support functions for the smooth running of the brewery offices
  • Provide sales and marketing support
  • Own specific projects from inception to completion
  • Work with and support the managing director, coordinating his daily and weekly activities
  • Adopt the organisation’s credit control policy, which sets out the company’s values and guidelines for chasing payment from its clients
  • Deal with payment queries and overpayments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Build strong working relationships with our clients as well as other members of the team to assist with collection of outstanding debts, via phone, email and in person
  • Assist with any other ad hoc duties as and when the business may require them

While the role requires no specific brewery experience the ideal candidate will have:

  • A professional and can-do attitude, self-motivation, flexibility and the ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • You’ll also have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in office work, customer service or accounts
  • Legal right to work in the UK

The Brick Brewery Tap Room is open Tuesday-Friday 5pm to 10pm; Saturday 12 noon to 10pm and Sunday 12noon to 8pm. Food served by Slow Richies during Tap Room hours.
