Sales Manager

Brick is an independently run brewery that started from humble roots in a Peckham shed. Since 2013 we have been building our brewery; first from a railway arch in Peckham Rye, SE London and have expanded with an additional production site in Deptford, which means more beer, for more people.  With the increased capacity, we are looking for someone to join our ever-growing team as a key player to help drive sales within London, the UK and export.  Brick believes in transparency, honesty and integrity.  Our over-arching strategy is to challenge the perception of the everyday drinker, producing fresh, uncompromising and authentic beers.  This also means we need more people to join our growing team of passionate individuals to drive the business forward.

Key Deliverables

  • To deliver agreed sales targets in terms of volume & profit
  • To research and identify new account opportunities by building the relationship with the manager and staff, putting in place the right activity and ensuring we have the optimum range and visibility
  • To identify national and international growth opportunities and win new business to grow volumes and your outlet base
  • Be able to track, report on and manage performance of your outlets by analysing sales data and reacting to any change in sales accordingly
  • Be fully conversant in all Brick Brewery products, as well as competitor products
  • Training and education of customers and consumers on our products
  • Identify, plan, manage and participate in events at the brewery taproom but also with customers on and off site plus trade shows. Example events such as meet the brewer and tap takeovers
  • Administrative tasks of taking orders, raising Invoices and arranging deliveries
  • Be a strong brand ambassador delivering our strategic message

 

Who are we looking for: 

  • A sales person who has the ability to network and build relationships
  • Experience selling in the beer trade across the UK
  • A confident, enthusiastic & energetic personality
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about beer
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours as due to the role and responsibilities you will often need to work some evening and weekend hours
  • Highly organised & good knowledge of excel
  • Be legally able to work in the UK

 

The role is a full-time permanent position and offers the right candidate, the opportunity to progress and develop within the company.  Salary is commensurate with experience with an attractive bonus structure

The Brick Brewery Tap Room is open Tuesday-Thursday 5pm to 10pm; Friday and Saturday 12 noon to 12am and Sunday 12noon to 8pm. Food served every day by Slow Richie’s, except Tuesday’s.
